EXAMPLE OF KIT FOR ON /OFF DIALYSIS (FAV AND CVC)

This kit may contain:

ON

  • Absorbent and waterproof sterile sheet to be placed under the patient’s arm or to create a sterile field during the dressing procedure. Sterile sheets equipped with a cut, hole and an adhesive, in order to better adapt the use of the device in the dressing procedures for fistula or catheter (FAV – CVC).
  • A pair of sterile gloves, model and size of choice (latex, vinyl, and nitrile).
  • Disinfectant wipes for disinfection prior to insertion of the needle.
  • Sterile gauze pads in cotton or non-woven fabric (TNT).
  • Disposable plastic clamp used to stop the flow of fluids in the lines (clamping of the tubes).
  • Disposable multipurpose clamp used to hold towels, swabs and gauzes.
  • Air-permeable adhesive plasters in TNT to help fix the needles in place.

OFF

  • A pair of sterile gloves, model and size of choice
  • Sterile gauze pads in cotton or non-woven fabric (TNT).
  • Final medication: fistula-pressing bandage or fistula-pressing plasters.
  • Two disposable fistula-pressing armlets for hemostasis at the end of dialysis.
  • Fistula needle cap or needle container, safety cap.
  • Catheter protective pocket with fixing plasters for protection of the terminal parts of the catheter.

PERITONEAL DRESSING KIT

The kit may contain:
  • Absorbent and waterproof sterile sheet to create a sterile field
  • Sterile sheet equipped with a cut, hole and an adhesive, to better adapt the use of the device in the dressing procedures of the peritoneal catheter
  • A pair of sterile gloves, model and size of choice (latex, vinyl, and nitrile)
  • Sterile gauze pads in cotton or non-woven fabric (TNT)
  • Y-shaped or straight-cut gauze to create a dressing around the catheter
  • Masks to avoid contamination
  • Air-permeable adhesive plasters in TNT to fix dressing

Protective pockets for catheter


PROTECTIVE POCKETS FOR CATHETER

Pockets designed to contain the catheter between dialysis and the other for the hygienic protection of the tubatisms and of the catheter itself. They are made of soft and breathable white fabric. They protect the skin from irritation due to the mechanical action of rubbing the catheter and tubatisms in contact with the skin, improving the patient’s comfort. Easy to use and comfortable to wear.

PROTECTIVE POCKET FOR CVC

It is a pocket designed to contain central venous catheter (CVC), equipped with an extension at the top to protect the exit-site of catheter, available in various sizes. The pocket is secured to the patient through the supplied patches by protecting the catheter without interfering with the exit site of the catheter itself.

PROTECTIVE POCKET FOR PERITONEAL CATHETER

It is a pocket designed to contain peritoneal catheter, equipped with laces or elastic belt for fixing to the patient
  • PROTECTIVE POCKET WITH LACES

    The pocket is secured to the patient through the built-in laces to protect the catheter
  • PROTECTIVE POCKET WITH VELCRO

    Equipped with elastic belt and velcro closure system. Velcro fasteners are positioned on the cotton strap for adjustment and subsequent fastening of the device.

SURESEAL® SELF-ACTIVATING PRESSURE BANDAGE LATEX FREE

FEATURES
The Sureseal sponge expands on contact with blood. As pad continues to expand, it creates and sustains direct pressure to help reduce clotting time. Adhesive tape securely seals around puncture site on all four sides to help protect the site from leakage.
Versatile: can be used on most venous and arterial dialysis and blood sampling sites.

Conical-shaped devices with needle insertion in the rubber (DR 200/V) or with needle lock in the grooves that create an irreversible closure (DR 200).
